What is Songs in the Canyon?
Songs in the Canyon is a community music festival featuring live performances across multiple stages, local artists, food vendors, craft vendors, nonprofit organizations, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
When and where is the festival?
Songs in the Canyon takes place on Friday June 12th, June 13th, and June 14th in Westside Costa Mesa, CA. June 12th (ticket required) is a venue walking tour involving MoonGoat Coffee, Echo Garden (pop-up venue), Location 1980, Three13Bar, and The Wayfarer. June 13th (ticket required) is a Hootenanny in Canyon Park, a backyard party at Three13Bar, and a Pop Night at Wayfarer. June 14th (FREE) is the traditional picnic in Canyon Park, and a Post Party at the Wayfarer. Please refer to the festival map for venue locations, band set times, and experiences.
What time does the festival start and end?
Festival activities begin at 6PM June 12th, 4PM June 13th, and noon on June 14th. Specific stage schedules and performance times will be posted on our website and social media channels before the event.
Do I need a ticket?
General admission or day of tickets are required for June 12th and June 13th. June 14th is a FREE event in Canyon Park. The post party at the Wayfarer is for bands, vendors, and general admission ticket holders.
Will tickets be available at the door?
Yes, day of tickets will be available for purchase outside of MoonGoat on June 12th, at the entrance to the Canyon Park Hootenanny on June 13th, and later that evening outside of the Wayfarer. Tickets may be available on the day of the event, subject to capacity. We encourage purchasing tickets in advance, as prices may increase closer to the event and could sell out.
What is included with my ticket?
Your ticket includes access to live music performances in participating venues, festival activities, greenroom areas on Sunday's free show, and the Sunday evening post party at the Wayfarer.
Is re-entry allowed?
Yes. Guests may leave and return to participating venues and locations. Simply show your lanyard upon arrival.
Where do I check in?
Check-in locations for ticket lanyard are marked and included on the festival map. Attendees will receive additional information via email prior to the event. On June 12th, lanyard pickup will be outside of MoonGoat. June 13th at the Hootenanny in Canyon Park, and in front of the Wayfarer Saturday night.
Is parking available?
Parking is available on June 12th at MoonGoat, and in the large parking lot in front of the Wayfarer. June 13th, guests are encouraged to walk, bike, or ride-share into Canyon Park. Parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhoods throughout Westside Costa Mesa. Saturday evening, guests can park in front of the Wayfarer. Sunday June 14th, guests are encouraged to walk, bike, or ride-share into Canyon Park. Parking is also available in the surrounding neighborhoods throughout Westside Costa Mesa.
Are children welcome?
Absolutely. Songs in the Canyon is a family-friendly event, and children are welcome to attend with a parent or guardian. HOWEVER, access is limited at Three13Bar and The Wayfarer to guests over 21 years of age.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
There will be food/drink vendors throughout the festival, however, you are allowed to bring your own food and drink to the June 13th Hootenanny and the June 14th Canyon Park picnic. Please don't bring your own food to the street venues on June 12th and June 13th. Beverages and food will be provided at those locations.
Will alcohol be available?
Alcohol may be available for purchase at Three13Bar and The Wayfarer.
What should I bring?
We recommend bringing:
A reusable water bottle
Sunscreen
Sunglasses and a hat
A blanket or low-back chair for lawn seating
Comfortable walking shoes
A fully charged phone
What should I leave at home?
Please do not bring:
Weapons of any kind
Illegal substances
Professional photography equipment without prior approval
Is the event ADA accessible?
We are committed to making the festival accessible to all guests. ADA-accessible pathways, viewing areas, and accommodations will be available. Please contact us in advance with specific accessibility requests.
Can I bring my dog?
Yes, dogs are welcome to join on June 13th and June 14th at the Canyon Park events.
What happens if it rains?
Songs in the Canyon is a rain-or-shine event. In the event of severe weather or emergency conditions, festival organizers will communicate any schedule changes through official channels.
Can I take photos and videos?
Yes! Guests are encouraged to capture and share their festival experience on social media. Please be respectful of performers and fellow attendees.
Will merchandise be available?
Yes. Official Songs in the Canyon merchandise, artist merchandise, and other festival items will be available for purchase at designated merchandise booths.

Can I come and go between venues?
Yes. Your festival lanyard pass allows you to explore participating stages, vendors, art exhibits, and activities throughout the event.
Will food be available?
Yes. A variety of local food vendors and food trucks will be serving food and beverages throughout the festival.
Is there lawn seating?
Yes. The Main Stage and Artist Stage features open lawn seating. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets or low-back chairs and enjoy the performances throughout the day.
